(On this occasion swapping my camera for a cocktail to love & critique the Black & White exhibit at the Leica gallery in Hollywood 5/2024.)
Welcome. I love working with people and that’s why portraiture makes up most of my work. It’s important for me to channel a relaxed environment so my subjects feel relaxed and at ease. Throughout any given shoot, I gravitate between director and documentarian, creating space to capture natural reactions, always looking for the best of what makes someone unique.
I hold a BA in Photojournalism and Studio Art from UNC-Chapel Hill. Grants from UNC and The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University enabled me to work on a range of multimedia projects in remote areas of the world. To this day, whether it’s a commercial assignment or a life milestone, I aim to capture timeless, vibrant images.
